Although there are a lot of misses, and annoyances, and can be a bit hoaky and juvenile at times...

Wade through the Warhammer 40k books, starting with the Horus Heresy series. Which in summary is the prelude to the 40k series as a whole. The Horus Heresy saga lead into the Siege of Terra books. Of which there are 54 books, and 9 books (more to come) respectively.

There is a lot to read. And a lot of perspectives, motivations, and plotlines that all collapse into a pretty epic story of what essentially is a sci-fi civil war between the forces of "good" and "evil".

And once you've read those (which is already an incredibly challenging task), you've basically completed the introduction to a universe that currently has over 460 books, telling all sorts of stories in the backdrop the Horus Heresy created.

It's pretty wild, and it's got countless great moments and excellent sci-fi.

Ladies and gentlemen, brace yourselves, for the statement that I am about to make is one that has been debated for centuries and is at the very core of some of the world's oldest and most influential belief systems. It's a statement that has sparked countless philosophical and theological discussions, and has been the subject of intense scrutiny by some of history's greatest minds. Are you ready for it? Here it comes: "The guy didn't resurrect because resurrection isn't possible."

I fucking love the fact that they're trying to downplay the quality of the party, completely missing the fact that it was still a fucking party roflmao. Surely this is just admission of guilt, right?

If everyone knows there were soggy sandwiches and a slice of b-day cake, the gathering happened against the rules. It's as simple as that. Absolute fucking troggs

Never really saw eye to eye with my dad while I was growing up. We clashed a lot and didn't get along. We were very distant.

He didn't get me, and I didn't get him. Even when we started playing WoW together, we still were so distant. Eventually we went off and did our own things on WoW, and even though we were in the same house, playing the same game, we were on different servers, chatting to different people. And both of us were too proud to say "yo, wanna play together?"

Now I've gotten older, he's much more comfortable talking to me and he gets visibly excited when I show up for a chat. It's nice to see that my dad likes me. Get in as many memories as you can boiz.

Almost certainly, yes.

The bus was issued a PCN, which is done by automated ANPR cameras. The VRM would've been missing from a whitelist maintained by the council, and clearly it was not updated or deployed to the unit, so a mistake happens.

Usually there is a person in between the issue of a PCN and the actual sending of the PCN, but obviously someone was asleep at the wheel, or budget cuts meant they couldn't personally verify them.

So, the PCN was sent out erroneously.

It's trivial to appeal as well, they'd just need to call up, say it's a bus, and it will probably immediately get cancelled.

Actually, while this is true, the title of this post is just wrong.

The earliest example of under floor heating is actually from 5000BC and was found in modern day... North Korea.

So, Korea is still technically the first, before Rome. It's just the date is wrong in the title... Thanks a bunch for the really, really unhelpful TIL OP.

"The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it. It began with the forging of the Great Rings. Three were given to the Elves, immortal, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Dwarf lords, great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of Men, who, above all else, desire power. But they were, all of them, deceived, for another ring was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Sauron forged in secret a Master Ring, to control all others. And into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life. One Ring to rule them all! But even he cannot fathom why the children love the taste of cinnamon toast crunch"

Don't use skill percentage bars.

They're utterly useless. At best you're admitting you don't 100% know a skill, if so, why would you advertise that? And at worst, you're overestimating what you know and are being dishonest or ignorant of that fact.

And you may want to keep your steam profile off of there. Your erm... Profile picture is what I would class as NSFS (Not safe for society), let alone NSFW...

Other than that, though, looks nice. Potential employers will be glad to see the eye candy.
