As someone who once went to prison in Connecticut just for $50 worth of drugs, seeing cops do things like this to people and avoiding jail time makes me want to become an anarchist.

If different people are not held accountable to the same law, then the law doesn't functionally exist anyway.

If they get paid just in case they're innocent, it's only fair and logical that they should have to return the money if they are convicted.

My buddy got a DUI 10 years ago and he is still paying $300 a month for car insurance.

Why can't we charge them a "customer fee" and get our money back?

If they can just endlessly keep increasing the price, why is it illegal for us to do anything about that?

Well I already had a pretty good reason not to show up in court either - I didn't commit the infraction I was accused of!!

If accountability for not using your blinker is so important for me and you, why aren't cops held accountable for filing false charges?

If this guy is truly as dangerous as they claim he is, why would any amount of money make them comfortable with letting him back out onto the streets????

Speaking of failing to show up for court, I've only gotten 3 traffic tickets in my life and all 3 times, the cop failed to show up.

But unlike everyone else in society, the cop didn't get in trouble for failing to show up to court.

It's terrifying that they would let this guy back out onto the streets tonight just because he had a certain amount of money.

There was a swatter who got 20 years in prison after the innocent victim was killed by the responding police down in Wichita Kansas.

My money is on a bunch of punk teenagers taking advantage of the fact that most of the cops in state were busy elsewhere.

As a former teenage delinquent, this would have been the perfect opportunity to sow chaos amongst the adults.
