This is a railway in a cutting. Some badgers have dug a sett in the cutting slope and excavated so much soil that it now covers the existing cable route so thoroughly that new cables have to be ducted in front of the spoil heap because the existing cable boxes are now inaccessible
The amount of spoil excavated by badgers has now completely encased the existing cable route
