It’s really easy, you fill out an application for a real ID online then head to RMV (I went to AAA) with your documents up to year before your license expires and they will send you a real ID. There are more documents required than if you want to renew and get a regular license but it’s the same RMV appointment type and the same cost. Downside is you need to renew in person if you want a real ID.

I remember when I was kid screwing myself over assuming there would be a snow day then everyone except my school was out and I hadn’t finished my homework. Kids don’t do what I did it’s always better to assume you’ll have class.

Join AAA appointments are released every 10 minutes so it’s fairly easy to get an appointment within 2 weeks and it’s incredibly quick. I was in and out in under 10 minutes for my real ID.

A gas station clerk or stocker is not an independent contractor. If his employer has filed him as one they’re commuting fraud to get away with paying their share of social security. You are right though if they did they probably didn’t withhold the proper taxes and the friend may owe some taxes (still probably unlikely though because a stocker at a gas station may not make enough).

You can usually find a $10 antigen test at most pharmacies, don’t go inside most smaller pharmacies will take it out to you or use the drive through. If she’s positive and fits the right criteria then she can get paxlovid with a free ma telehealth appointment (meds are still free as well I believe).

Other than that Advil or Tylenol, fluids and rest. It sucks. https://www.mass.gov/info-details/treatments-for-covid-19
