I don’t have a favourite. I use what I find in supermarkets. The find the ripe pears to be best as they are sweeter in taste

The recipe:
240 gram of flour 150 gram of butter 125 gram sugar 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger 1 little salt 1 egg A drop of water if necessary Pears (tin of pears drained can be used) or apples
Crumble butter with the flour. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, ginger and salt. Gather the dough with the egg. Add a drop of water if needed. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Divide the dough into two. Grease your dish and then roll out the dough. Put into the dish. Put the pears in and roll out the top and put over the pears. Press down the edges or use a fork to make a pattern. Brush it gently with cold water and sprinkle sugar on top. Bake in oven for 30-40 minutes at 220 degrees Celsius. Check regularly so it doesn’t burn around the edge. Serve with ice cream, cream or créme fraiche Enjoy
