There are some estimates that proportion of people don’t have cash reserves on hand to handle an emergency with cash if they didn’t get a paycheck— but that doesn’t mean they’d be homeless. There are lots of sources of liquidity most people can tap before that happens, nevermind getting some temporary help from family or friends.
