I completely understand. When I was a kid I used to see glimpses of things in the mirror in my room that weren't really there and I never trusted it. It was one of those full length mirrors mounted to my wall. I had this awesome toy gun, I don't think it was a toy, but maybe a collector or display item. It was the size of an older style handgun but made of solid brass. This thing was solid and heavy. It had what looked like a large screw in the barrel that made me think that it looked like a bullet about to come out. One night I left it on the floor in front of that mirror before I went to bed, and the next morning it was just gone. I was an only child at that point and I know that neither of my parents took it. No one else was in the home that night besides the three of us. When I couldn't find it in the morning for some reason kid me just knew that someone reached through the mirror and took it. I never found that gun, and my parents swore for the next twenty years that they have no clue what happened to it whenever I would bring it up. I already had it for a few years so it's not like they didn't approve of it as a toy and confiscated it. I know that it sounds crazy but I never was able to solve that mystery and I'm still irrationally mad that it disappeared.

That was... incredible and one of my worst fears come alive. Since I was a child I have been frightened by the thought of another dimension or plane of existence in the mirror; another world that looks like ours but is very, very wrong. Beautifully written record of your horrific experience. I hope that Nick can find a way out.
