Yep. It was a family-friendly spot that was big enough for community gatherings and casual hangs. Loved seeing parents with kids out on those picnic tables.
To all the people saying this area is weird or sketch: sure, but families live here and like living here and there are a ton of new spots along York Rd that have made the area feel so much safer thanks to the added foot traffic.

Reply to The ONE best Baltimore beer? by NewrytStarcommander
So many great beers to choose from here in Bmore, and one's appreciation for each one changes depending on your palette at the time.
I'll nominate the Astrodon Hazy IPA from Peabody Heights, Zadie's Lager from Union, and Key Brewery's Positive Mental Attitude Pilsner.

Reply to How much Money would it take to Renovate ALL Vacant Homes in Baltimore? š¤ by ayhme
From city gov website:
"As of February 15, 2022, there areĀ 14,989 vacant propertiesĀ and only 1245 of those are owned by the City government. Properties that are privately owned must go through due process before the City can act to demolish those properties or make plans to take ownership and bring them back into productive use."
So, let's assume that to renovate or demo/rebuild those properties costs on average around $100k to $500k each, for an avg of $300k each, you'd be looking at around:
$4,500,000,000
Aka $4.5 billion.
