Yeah but the animals are all hyper intelligent and seem to be both able to understand human language but also are capable of expressing themselves to humans. They also seem to be on board with battling in most scenarios. But if any of mine weren’t up to it, I’d just let them hang out while my Charizard rained fire from above.

Pokémon. It’s like a global solar punk utopia. Tons of green technology, basically everyone (except for all the organized crime groups I suppose) loves animals and most people don’t really seem to have a job, they just wander around with their buddies and pets.

Do I think we should discriminate against people based on their age? No.

Do I think lawmakers should have baseline knowledge about the topics they’re legislating on? Yes.

Do I think old people are on average unprepared to handle a topic as complex as internet regulation? Also yes.

If that’s ageism to you, then I’m sorry. But don’t feel too bad for them because current old people control basically all government in the US (can’t speak for elsewhere) so I think they’ll be fine if someone hurts their feelings.

And here's another drawback to letting old people run our societies. As technology advances, laws aren't keeping up because the people writing laws still think computers are a fad. There really needs to be some sort of independent lobbying group that tries to educate lawmakers about technology and effective methods of regulation (as opposed to the nonsense, uninformed half measures they take today).

Loved the first episode but I cheaped out and got the version of Peacock with ads so binging stuff is annoying. I’ll get to the other episodes but I loved the back and forth piecing it together and the guests were awesome.

I consider it better. Mostly just because the production values are just so much higher and Fincher is the superior director. Rapace and Mara’s performances I’d say are equally good though.

Violent Night seemed like it understood the assignment a lot more than Fatman. 🤷🏻‍♂️
