Stop talking about this to literally everyone, go to a lawyer office and they can give you advice moving forward, you will give minimal and vague information until they actually know you needs and can help you. You will pay them to work on your behalf as things happen instead of after, it will cost money. They are the ONLY person you ever mention any possible illegal activities to.

Or, you risk it and hope this fades away and you learn a hard lesson of regret and anxiety for at least a year.
