From one link: CBD has a significant therapeutic effect for epilepsy (SMD − 0.5[CI − 0.62, − 0.38] high grade) and Parkinsonism (− 0.41[CI − 0.75, − 0.08] moderate grade).
The other link is about Phase II clinical trials, i.e. ongoing research.
The point stands that there is as of yet insufficient research done to say that CBD is a fit medicine for anxiety/depression. That nature link literally says: "Evidence suggests cannabidiol (CBD) has anxiolytic properties, indicating potential for novel treatment strategies."
Suggests. Potential.

CBD was a controlled substance, i.e. illegal until 2018 in the USA. There's hardly been any medical research around the medicinal benefits of CBD anyway, so you can't even say that CBD works for depression and/or anxiety. There simply isn't research confirming that. The only confirmed medicinal use of it is for certain types of seizures.

Reply to ELI5: How can CEOs/Officers/Execs/etc of a company buy their own stock it not be insider trading? by ksquires1988
Generally people with inside knowledge like that are quite limited in when and how they can trade stock in the very company that they are the leadership of.
The last time that I worked for a major public company, upper management could only trade stocks in anything through a specific broker, on a specific account known to the company. Trading stock in the company itself could only be done in specific time windows AND those trades were delayed by a month. All of this to prevent accusations of insider trading.

Reply to comment by cshaiku in ELI5 - What are calls/puts in stock trading, and how are returns calculated when they are executed? by burman07
No you would buy a call at a lower strike if it's going down but you think it will go up again soon. But trading calls puts is more complicated than just that. Generally speaking though, if you think the underlying will rise less than the interest rate, buy puts, if it will rise more, buy calls.

Minecraft is more like Legos, i.e. a toy, than a real game. Technically the goal is to kill the Ender Dragon (or at least that is what speedrunners go for) but it doesn't really matter.
For many people Minecraft is about creativity in building stuff in Minecraft.

Reply to ELI5: why does mobile data either get really bad or automatically disconnect when making a call. Then gets restored once the call ends. by ShadoWalker123
Your call and the mobile data go over the same bandwidth. When you are making a voice call, a lot of bandwidth is needed for the call alone, leaving little for the data connection, which can indeed lead to interruptions in the data you are getting.

Reply to Eli5 what happens when you have a gift card to a company that went out it business? by Designer-Recover-940
If you're very lucky, someone took over the old company and still honours those gift cards. The much more likely scenario though is, you now have a gift card that can't be used for anything and is worthless.
