Because it’s something that has to relate. Let’s say in a book, if the man was physically disabled and couldn’t walk it but people who were able and could walk were being brought up a lot, the juxtaposition (comparison) makes the reader feel a certain way/creates a tone of the book etc.

Juxtaposition is the fancy word for saying opposite when comparing.

Examples: The juxtaposition of the disabled man to the able man means… Also mean: The comparison between the disable and able man means…

Not the best examples but I think it gets the point across
