Big y, stop n shop, Walmart, and (soon) Aldi are located on King Street. There are smaller markets mentioned closer to Smith or maybe Clark. There's river valley coop also on king street which is like a smaller, local whole foods.

If you have a car, bike or time to take a bus to hadley across the river there's an Asian grocery, Spanish grocery, Maple Farm Foods which is my personal fave for low cost and variety, a larger Walmart, trader Joes, target, Whole Foods, another big y, aldi and stop n shop. Maple Farm is actually on the bike path and has an ice cream window/ places to eat outside. Pre- covid they had a great hot foods bar and salad bar which are slowly starting to return. They have a bunch of heat n eat meals too.

I've had jobs where although I had paid sick time there was an attendance policy. After 4 unexcused absences (either full days or late/ early) in a 12 month rolling period, you were written up.

They're not even in the same county. They're 45 minutes apart. Longmeadow is like Newton and Hadley is like...?Topsfield. I'm local and this story is confusing. I'm wondering if she's a family member or friend of the person being evicted. I also wonder if she stole the hives since she agitated the bed and tipped the hives over. Doesn't seem like something a conscientious beekeeper would do...

Then you have jobs that schedule you for 8 hrs, take the lunch out so you're paid for 7.5 and if you're called in to work a couple hrs on the weekend the OT pay only kicks in if your shift was longer that 2.5 hrs.

Idk. Technically you don't have to stay at work during an unpaid break. You could go outside, to your car or whatever. If you worked somewhere close to go get food and you choose to spend your time that way, that's up to you. I think our state laws are if you are scheduled for an 8 hr shift, you are entitled to two 15 minute paid breaks and one 30 minute unpaid break.

Springfield is closer to Hartford, then past that, New York. There have already been changes in the train lines to make that commute easier. International airport in Hartford already, plus Westover in chicopee looking for Airline partners.
