I have a stovetop cast aluminum one. Very simple design, easy to use, easy to clean. I got it from HMart, a Korean supermarket, with a lot of U.S. locations.

I have a set that comes with a remote. I bet that the remote function eats battery charge because it probably uses some power for the receiving component. Does yours have a remote control? I'd also like to have puck lights that don't eat batteries.

Here's one marked Oral B and Braun on the base. Maybe it's an Oral B product that uses Braun electric/electronic techology?

Mine uses AA batts. I also have a large collection of rechargeables, which I started collecting when my son was born. (For toys, you know.) Luv those rechargeable batteries!

My Oral B battery-powered brush is the same one of 10+ years. I made sure to keep a small stock of replacement brush heads.

My Hanes (ComfortBlend^(R) EcoSmart^(TM)) full-zip hoodie has lasted almost 10 years and is still going strong. No pilling, fraying, or wearing down in any spot. It's 50/50 cotton-poly, but it feels like cotton -- not poly texture. I've had Uniqlo hoodies that pill within months, and my Nike (unknown manufacturer) has worn down at the cuffs. I use the Hanes just around the house.

Over at r/castiron, you can find many posts showing that non-stick can be achieved on cast iron. I got my first cast iron pan last year, and I was a bit surprised that it was truly non-stick. Since I'm not worried about protecting an engineered surface, in case of stickage, I clean it more aggressively than I would a non-stick pan.
I still have a non-stick ceramic-coated pan for sugary foods. Otherwise, I feel like a fool for buying non-stick pans.

For some reason, my son (15 y/o) wanted a fountain pen. Luckily I held off from buying at the local Staples, and instead found JetPens from their YouTube videos. He chose a Kaweco fountain pen, and I got myself a Kaweco Sport ball pen and some mechanical pencils. I couldn't justify the really nice $70 metal one for myself, though.

Kuru Toga mechanical pencils by Uni come in 0.3mm size leads. Kuru Toga pencils rotate the lead as you write. JetPens.com

I went with one branded "Highwin". I can't remember all the details of my purchase, but I think I bought it on eBay at a lower price than the Mueller. It looks exactly like the Mueller. So, I convinced myself that I wasn't going to pay more for a name. The quality seems good, and will probably last a lifetime. An extra mesh filter is included.
