Yes, a good quality dome with slider like Topre is one of my favorite feeling switches. Particularly with dampeners on the upstroke since the dome itself already dampens the bottom out. But my biggest issue is that I like custom boards and custom capacitive PCBs are not easy. So while I have an old Realforce and I love the switches, I never use it. Someday I would love to build a custom Topre style dome with slider keyboard. Either getting a working PCB and controller for the capactive sensing or possibly using a different sensing method like hall effect.

Yeah, they have a click leaf very similar to Alps. The housing is obviously MX and not Alps so they definitely have some difference there. But to me, the biggest difference from alps is the extreme tactility even more than Amber Alps it feels to me. I think it's too much personally. Especially if you use them in their tactile position where it's crazy tactile. I would prefer if they would make a version that is more reasonably tactile similar to Alps. Especially if they also made a dampened slider so you could have a Zeal version of a Quiet Click.

Matias definitely has issues with chatter. But it would seem to be related to the factory lube or something that gets into the contacts. If you don't mind doing some cleaning, they can continue working for longer. Would be great if Matias could address the issue themselves. My own Matias QC board is currently sitting idle as it has a couple chattering switches that need to be addressed and I'm being lazy. But I also recently mostly finished a Zeal Clickiez tactile/dampened mod so I still have Alps feeling switches that are keeping me happy.

I was thinking BTC dome as I know that some SIIG MiniTouch use them. But it looks like that's just in the MiniTouch plus. I see now that the case style is different on here and is not the Plus. Good information to know. Thanks.

I got my XVX Skyline Denim recently as well. Same colorway but not shine through. I don't do any backlighting and the contrast on the double shot looks really nice. One of the reason I don't care for shine through is that without the lighting the contrast tends to be pretty bad. Seems the PBT they used maybe doesn't work the best for shine through leading to dim and not full coverage on the legends.

I also don't actually have a board to put these on yet but I do plan on building something with low profile MX switches like Choc V2 or something where these should work well. Although they are a "low profile" keycap, they're not any lower on standard MX switches than my Devlin Q series. But that means they should be slightly lower than DSA and most other MX keycaps.

Being that these keycaps were not made specifically for the Nuphy, it's expected that the FN legends wouldn't be there. Those are keyboard dependent so they'd have to make different legends for every possible keyboard out there.

Most keyboards in laptops and tablet folio things are scissor and membrane things as those can be made very thin. The membrane part specifically doesn't lend itself to individual switches that you can arrange yourself to make a custom keyboard with. Same reason you don't really see any custom Model M keyboards. You could do it but you'd have to make your own membrane at least. Assuming you harvest the scissor switches and domes from another keyboard. You'd also have to come up with a custom plate that would work with the mounting of the scissor switches.

So, yes, you could. But it would be a lot of very custom work and would probably cost a lot of money for a dome/membrane keyboard.
