Steam lists on the store page whether a game requires a third party launcher; don't buy games with additional launchers if you don't want to use them.

Same - story modes tend to be on the easy side and my face gets pounded into the dirt when trying to play online. Really wish some had a matchmaking option for "I am newborn baby, please don't infinite combo me"
