Look out in Warren County. I nabbed 3200 square feet and 14 acres out here for $400k in 2020. Everything is so much cheaper out here if you don't mind being a little more "rural".
I know you're not in the market to buy, but it's just one show of how different it is from something like Morris County.

Just curious, how far from the red light was the daycare center? If it was right there on the corner, then thats no big deal. But if you drove away from the scene to a whole other area, you'd have to complete and submit your own accident report to the state ((self accident report)).

I pay $16,000 in taxes in Warren County. 3/4ths of that go to the Hackettstown School system, which is still falling apart from what I'm hearing. What are they doing with all of this money?

Same, I don't use enough electricity to not be in the red in the end. And I don't qualify for any rebate because of my usage also.
