If you are open to just a small 1-bedroom in a nice building in east rock (a good New Haven neighborhood), I’m actually probably ready to sell mine soon.

I bought it with my partner when we moved to New Haven but have since left and just never sold it since our lives suddenly got super, super busy.

It’s not large but it’s renovated and the building is really nice and safe. Probably would sell it for 200-205k.

Might be unpopular opinion: but 99% of people that elect to do a higher end (non trashy AC pound drinks and gamble) bachelor party don’t regret it.

Nice hotel or like a lodge somewhere. Focus on good quality dinner and good quality drinks.

If he doesn’t really have friends it’s better to elevate the experience. My friend from college was this way. I was his only friend pretty much except like 1 person he worked with kind of.

We got a nice Airbnb in the Catskills and then I found a nice farm-to-table restaurant and we had excellent liquor with great food. Went on a small / easy 2 mile hike to a summit with a sweet view the next morning. Spent time cooking big egg and steak breakfast as well, just talking and enjoying the change of scenery.

If adamant about staying in NJ you could prob find something similar in Sussex or Warren County. Or the Catskills are also closer than you think.

Unless this dude just loves light beer, drugs, and strippers in which case I’m sure it’ll be easy to figure out.

I feel like this is subjective. My partner and I moved to New Haven from nyc and we were astounded at how “cheap” Mactivity was. 300 dollar entry level gym membership at a comparable place in my nyc neighborhood so I was elated to find Mactivity. Plus, it was quiet, clean, and not filled with aggressiveness

How is Fairmount for a couple (30 and 32)? Feel free to suggest an alternative neighborhood.

No kids, none planned though if theres an abundance of strollers in the neighborhood, that’s fine. We don’t like clubs or rowdy bars. We do like coffee shops, a neighborhood pub, and need a higher end gym. Preference to be away from young 20’s, and be around people our age +-.
