Maryland is a very strange state with lots of Southern and Northern ties. If you go down to Southern Maryland or the Eastern Shore, the accents are closer to rural to suburban VA. In Northern MD, they are a mixture of black AAVE DC, Italian, and southern PA, depending of the area. But that’s what makes the Mid-Atlantic so unique.

This is a good decision. Somebody needs to be held responsible for Hae Min Lee’s death. Her family should not have to be revictimized by the legal system with this case.

Thanks for sharing! Honestly, a lot of the negative press about Baltimore centers on the idea that most in the city are black, poor and therefore violent. Of course, that is not true and it doesn’t represent how many people live and love the city. The media does a lot of fearmongering about Baltimore and while the city does have a lot of crime, that’s the case with every major city.
