“Benjamin Franklin” by Carl Van Dooren put me in a slump. That book was tedious and I think every single day of Franklin’s life was chronicled, even if he was just sick in bed that day. Painful.
I read “His Excellency” by Joseph J. Ellis. I was out of my slump, but honestly, I think I was just glad to be done with Van Dooren’s book.
