FDVR is the main appeal for a large amount of people here, including myself. You basically become a God of that simulation and can do whatever the fuck you want

I've been a casual viewer for about 5 years so I haven't been paying too much attention, but this is the first time I've ever seen anything like the rate of progress we're seeing now, breakthroughs are happening multiple times a month

Would it really make a difference though? Whether or not consciousness appears at a certain point doesn't change the AI's capabilities
