I had never heard of this brand outside Boston, but see it everywhere in the city. Looked their raincoats and was shocked at how expensive it all is.

Keep an eye on the list of "musical experiences" at the planetarium. We attended one recently on a suggestion from a poster here, and it was really cool and fairly cheap ($10). The selection of music seems to range pretty widely, so the chances of seeing something of interest might be decent.

My experience is limited, but we loved Bova's and noticed it had been voted the best at some point by some magazine.

I swear by parking at the Station Landing garage in Medford and catching the T at the connected Wellington station. It literally does not get easier and just barely is it cheaper anywhere else at $5/24 hours.

There may or may not have been a severed pinky toe on board.

Try going to some shows or something you get excited about. I'm from New Hampshire, but travel to the city fairly regularly for concerts and Celtics games, etc. I tend to be a bit of an introvert and like to keep to myself for the most part, but I have friendly interactions unintentionally at these events all the time. I go to metal shows at the Middle East (Cambridge) often and always have friendly chats/doobie sessions start up outside waiting for the doors to open. I'll hit a bar up before going in to the Garden for a game, and will have chatted with a local at said bar for a while, and bars are usually not my thing. I feel these situations could have blossomed in to friendships to some extent if I was local and could have extended an invitation to meet up with them again.
