A good example for me, I had exited a relationship a year or so before, but “lose somebody” by kygo and one republic came on. I had never heard it before. Had no clue what it was about, but the intro piano had me welling up.

There’s raw emotion in music. And I literally can’t explain it.

I don’t know the psychological reasoning behind it.

But I have written songs that have made girls cry when listening.

I think it’s just relatability. If something in the music or lyrics resonates with them on a personal level it makes you feel some type of way.

Sometimes a beautiful chord progression will give me goose bumps, or make me think of my dad etc

I’ve definitely cried listening to a song, before words even start.
