Ok? Where did I say that the driver isn’t at fault?

Oh… I didn’t.

The point is that if we still had paid workers on the turnpike, then if something like this occurred , PSP would be notified a lot more quickly (like when they get on at an exit and there’s a toll right there?!?) vs waiting for the first Good Samaritan with a cellphone who notices a truck flying past the wrong way… which in turn could have potentially prevented the death of those who were hit seeing as the turnpike has an emergency alert system which could have been used to alert drivers to pull off to the shoulder or to wait at a rest stop rather than to continue driving into the path of a tractor trailers coming head on..

Apply for a job that was eliminated?……. I’m saying if we hadn’t eliminated toll booth workers as a job, this would have been far less likely to happen.. I am not saying that the driver isn’t at fault… and I’m certainly not saying they should have stood outside to attempt to stop it… but if there were toll booth workers, it wouldn’t have been seen as soon as the driver got on, and PSP could have been alerted way sooner.

There could be several reasons.

I had money on here a few years ago from a bank account I had when I was in college in Philadelphia. I closed the account, and I guess they attempted to mail me my remaining balance, but I had moved.

My daughter’s dad has some on there right now that are credits from Game Stop and also some refund money from a community college and a leftover paycheck from one of his old jobs.

One of my coworkers found out after I told him about the site that he had a couple thousand dollars from a relative that passed away.

Yes.. I called about unpaid child support and a lack of warrant and non accountability from Philadelphia family court or the bureau of child support enforcement… it’s been 10 years and i still haven’t been paid more than a handful of times, and he’s still not gotten a warrant with being 10s of thousands in arrears sooo …

Doesn’t always work.

And still not meant for everyday use. If it was, then notaries and county assistant offices and PA compass etc wouldn’t exist.. every state website and application would just say “contact your state rep.”

Ok…. Funny because I work at penndot and process a majority of the work that comes in from state reps and it’s always considered high priority and we have to do it or provide a reason why we cannot do it within three hours of receiving it… but sure… you’re supposed to go to your state rep every single time you need anything government related completed that the resources are readily available for you to find and use… it’s totally not a process that’s used to escalate the matter. I know nothing.

Seriously? Recommending that for this situation is a total abuse of that service….. people are supposed to go to their state ledge office to resolve matters that are urgent and/or dragging on… not for every little thing like “hey I just moved here and idk what to do… state rep!”

Oh well Reddit is weird and the votes fluctuate I guess.

But yeah the website for penndot needs dumbed down. I say it everyday. It’s all over the place and too hard for most of the general public to understand or find things.

Even as an employee when I need a form that I don’t have saved already, 99% of the time I just google the form name and PA. So much easier than navigating that terrible website.

Heads up if it’s financed and the title is not in your name yet or you bought it out of state, you won’t be able to do it all in one day unfortunately. You have to get the title mailed to the notary or to Harrisburg, then they can transfer the tag.

Unless it’s already titled in your name in PA. If your bank holds a PA title in your name and you just need registration/to transfer your plate, you’re good to go and they can do it for you at an agency within a few minutes.

lol lies…. I work at penndot, and roughly 50% of my job is title transfers for people who just moved here from out of state or just purchased from out of state…

Even when you go to an authorized agent to do your application, a large majority of the time it gets mailed to us in Harrisburg for processing, unless they are an online agent and can do it right there.

You can also walk into the Harrisburg location and get title transfers done at the counter.

It’s just that the only “PennDOT” location for motor vehicle is Harrisburg, the rest of the PennDOTs don’t do title transfers because they are drivers licensing centers.

Only if you are local to Harrisburg can you get it done at Penndot (the Harrisburg location on front street) otherwise you need to go to an authorized agent like AAA or any other notary or tag place that does paperwork for penndot. The form you need is a controlled form that cannot be printed from the internet because it’s a 3 part carbon copy form.

Also there’s more of a lot of things (queer, autistic, anxious, depressed).

It’s called being more widely accepted and more people being ok with coming out….

You know there was a point in time where you couldn’t have a mental illness or you were a maniac and locked up…? Does that mean now since more people are diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar, depression etc that’s also just made up / a result of kids rubbing off on one another or ….?
