Your kids will have a better experience in NY anyway.

If you're from Vermont going to college in Vermont is not the move at all. Kids need to experience other places. The state is way too sheltered for their own good

Don't preach to me about climate change. I ski, I ice fish and hockey is my favorite sport.

We know that climate change is a threat. What I'm asking is why are Vermont legislators waiting on an inevitable catastrophe to deal with the immediate problem of a housing crisis affecting Vermonters now??

This is insane.

Sorry to hear this.

How do you hope to change this next year?

Are you making an effort to make new friends and connect with old ones? Reconnecting with family? Finding a significant other?

I've been all over the world and Vermont is easily one of the most blessed places in terms of natural beauty. In the US I think only California beats it for natural beauty.

Ski, snowboard and ice fish in the winter. Go boat riding, hiking fishing, kayaking in the summer.

Unfortunately, it's not really a place you can make a lot of money. NIMBY policies have regressed economic growth so badly that the state depends on tourists for money. If you're a young person, you have to leave the state for economic opportunities. Go to Boston or New York, but don't forget to come home to enjoy the beauty from time to time.

I'm not going to listen to someone denigrating climate scientists.

I ice fish, I ski, I skate. My favorite sport is hockey. My hobbies revolve around cold snowy weather and I'm worried about the future. I've seen changes from even when I was growing up.

Climate scientists are not using vague interpretations. We're on borrowed time regarding climate action.

The end.

So you're worried about out of state tourists when you're facing the damaging effects of climate change in Vermont?

You think this is a joke? Ice fishing season used to start late September and now it's almost December but the lakes aren't frozen.
