Wow. An inward experience exploring themes of anxiety/mental illness, mortality, and sense of self during a ride with death or an angel of darkness. You’ve certainly outgrown and can move on now from that life stage and those friends with the message delivered brutally from the universe and the gift of death. I teared up thinking about this:
“No! No I didn’t. I think I’m a piece of shit. I think I deserve to die,” I say back to her.
“You said some really mean stuff about yourself back there. You shouldn’t sell yourself short, you know?” She says it with a smile. I believe her.
