So if somebody is coming in from overseas, and wanted to ski in the US, you'd tell them to go to fucking IDAHO for it?

Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Idaho, Iowa. Those places have nothing to offer, much less anything worth coming in from another country to experience.
Downvotes? Please. Tell me what exactly there is in Alabama that is worth flying in from say, France, to experience, especially instead of a million other awesome things in this country.

Bad idea, for the same reasons paramedics don't pack heat in the ambulance, and cops disarm before going to the holding cells.
I realize that the police are so bad that they actually help the school shooters now, but if we need an out of the box security solution, I'd suggest we consider arming the fire department before we talk about teachers. Fire department will get there first, have the tools to enter secured areas, and most importantly, are willing to risk their lives to save innocent people. And since they don't have 30 kids crawling all over them all day, there's less chance for an accident.

They're all equally shitty. It's like a math equation that always equals zero.
A social media platform that few people are on is less valuable than one that everybody's on. But online platforms all decrease in quality as their populations increase. Therefore, as you gain the benefits of wider adoption, you get a corresponding decrease in quality.

I would hope my spouse would feel free to have whatever hobbies or interests they wanted, or not, whether or not they overlapped with mine.

For college, you can just stop showing up and stop giving them money. Nobody's forcing you to go. You can just leave any time you want.

Honestly, probably a hell of a lot less. Kids need time to be kids, not to be buried in even more schoolwork because some committee though they should be able to do math sooner.

Reply to What is your opinion on capital punishment? by Midnight-Ran
I am open to the argument that some people are just such fucked up psychos that it's better to put them down humanely, than to lock them in a cage until they die on their own, the whole time guarding against the chance that they ever get an opportunity to harm others again.
However, in order to be comfortable actually having any version of that as policy, I'd need to see a justice system that is capable of identifying those extreme cases with 100 percent accuracy, complete fairness to the accused as far as due process goes, and a completely painless and humane method of execution. I'd also like to see one that is aware that the purpose is not punishment, but would be the same sense of tragic necessity as putting down a rabid dog.
