Anger/rage is also a dopaminergic activity and that's why a lot of society now is addicted to anger and outrage, often fed by the 24 h news cycle

Reply to Canada needs an inquiry into Chinese election interference: ex-spymaster - National | Globalnews.ca by bcbuddy
China is not just posting trash on FB in Canada. We have several electoral ridings that are majority Chinese who elect Chinese Canadian MP's with varying degrees of sympathy for the CCP.
I'm not promoting a witch hunt because if we address this too strongly, we stoke the fires of xenophobia. However, if we address this too weakly, China can literally sway the functioning of our government from the inside.

Reply to Should my bf still be allowed to wingman? M28 F27 (relationship of two years with a baby together) by secondaccount22223
I'm a man. It's not the fact that he is acting as a wingman. It's who is acting as a wingman for (infidelity).
If it were some friend who was super lonely who really needed help meeting someone, it would be an act of kindness.
But his buddy sounds like he doesn't need a wingman at all, and he could get in him in situations where he makes a life-changing mistake after too many drinks. Like if she had a friend that needed to be entertained.
If his friend wrecked his own relationship, how careful do you think he will be with someone else's?

It has to do with fast twitch vs slow twitch muscle fibers.
Chickens are sprinters in the flight sense. They can only get themselves up in the air and back down. That's fast twitch and it's white meat.
Cows are slow AF. That's slow twitch and it's red meat.
Duck are migratory birds (i.e. flying marathons) so their have slow twitch and it's red meat.
Humans are about 2/3rds slow twitch and 1/3rd fast twitch.

He looks old but he's only 62 years old. In a short while he will be out enjoying his fortune.

Receptors are often named after the drug that activates them. When Israeli Dr. Raphael Mechoulam discovered what receptors THC and CBD bind to what did it call it? Cannabinoid receptors. The whole system is the endocannabinoid system.
Don't get caught up in the naming of it. We name the key (compound) and lock (receptor) AFTER we see them interact. I thought the same as you when I first saw stuff like this.
