Yeah it’s pooling beyond the fence on the garden side, so I guess having an angled downwards course to send the water straight into the drain is what I need.

So how does the water get channeled into the drain?

Ah not a bad idea actually. I could get some of that nice purple slate which we already have around the garden, cement a simple ramp and then level it off with the purple rocks?

I have a drainpipe that’s broken so it’s pissing water down, however my garden looks like this normally whenever the rain is heavy.

The water isn’t draining away properly on this part of the garden and I really need to solve it as I’m getting worried about the integrity of the wall of my house.

I’m thinking of buying some very shallow ridge tiles and cementing them in at an angle to allow water to runoff straight into the drain on the second picture.

But I also wanted advice on what to do about the water that’s butted up against my house for hours / days at a time.

In the second picture if you look closely you can see a lot of moss/algae growing on the lower bricks.
