Hindsight? It doesn't take much intuition to figure why a assault victim doesn't want to talk to police.

everyone is downvoting you but you're not wrong. If he were white it would have been a "mental health episode"

But that's what being a politician is about during a crisis like that. Nothing he did could have fixed power faster but he actually took control of the situation rather than say, flying to Cancún where there's still power

I mean his handling of Sandy was easily the highlight of his career as governor. It was everything that followed, namely bridge gate and his subsequent attempts to salvage a 2016 presidency nomination that causes him to go out as hated as he did

Reply to comment by Linenoise77 in Lawsuit seeks $5M in wages for Great Adventure hourly workers: The class action lawsuit says workers should be paid for time spent walking across Great Adventure amusement park by rollotomasi07071
While walking through the park you're expected to stop and help guests if requested, so absolutely you should be getting paid. When I worked there as a kid you'd clock in at the admin building in the employee parking lot, then get your till (if applicable) and head to your location via the secret exit by the Gotham stadium. And you'd continue to be on the clock until you checked out at the same place you clocked in, which is right next to the employee parking lot

I hope they can make walking under 280 less dangerous/ sketchy. Ideally just demolish it but that's never gonna happen

It's already started just growing out of the bounds of downtown... Newark requires a minimum % of units to be affordable at least. It's kinda damned if you do damned if you don't though, at least in our current market. We'd need to see major reforms to public housing policies to change anything

Random steam leaks are so common in NYC its a symbol of the city at this point, but at least usually the pressure valves do their job to prevent a full on explosion. Still only going to get worse though as our infrastructure crumbles
