Urby is literally 2 blocks from Bedford street, harbor point is drastically further away from ‘downtown’. Urby is also more of a retail/office area so would be drastically more quiet than harbor point, and Harbor point directly abuts TERRIBLE neighborhoods. There are like three half way houses 2 blocks from it.

I would consider Urby drastically safer and quieter than anything in harbor point.

Used Toyota Camry, or Honda Civic, accord, CRV. Nissan are pretty reliable too, other than those three makes, you’re risking reliability.

Keep in mind though, you should check tires, and brakes, don’t buy anything that’s going to need those in the next few thousand miles, OR if you’re looking at a car and either of those are close to needing to be replaced, point it out and offer 500-1000 less than asking price.

You are better off spending a little more on a reliable car that won’t need any work soon.

I pass cops all the time. If you’re doing 10 over the limit almost no cop will pull you over, even 15 over on the highway. Cops usually draw a line in the sand when they’re doing radar duty, anyone going X over the limit I’ll pull over. While driving, if they’re just on their way to a call or cruising between points on their route, they’re only going to pull over egregious violations.

I’m in the northeast, NY, CT, MA, NJ, are pretty much all like this unless you’re in a particular jurisdiction or highway where enforcement is known to be aggressive. Like, I do 60 on the Taconic parkway because there are a ton of small towns off it that farm it for speeding ticket revenue.

Boston is easily 10x better than Stamford in terms of…. EVERYTHING.

It’s also DRASTICALLY easier to live outside Boston and commute in than it is to live outside Stamford and commute in.

If you do well at the company, figure in 3-5 years you’ll be able to at least think about either living by yourself, or even buying.

Personally, I would try extremely hard to stay in Boston, it’s just a much better area IMO. I guess if you take proximity to NYC into account Stamford evens out, but I find Boston and the surrounding areas to be a lot less stress inducing than CT/NYC… and has in general a much nicer and more friendly population.

I like the NYC area and grew up here, but it’s drastically more high intensity and people are way more up their own asses in CT/NY.
