Things to note:

Noise: • The train engines run all night long so you’ll hearing humming and noise from the yard.

• Green line runs right by it now so you’ll want to be as high up as possible of you face that direction, same goes for note above.

• Construction still going on around the area. In terms of neighbors it’s luck of the draw, my area is quiet, but others seem loud.

• the property is maintained pretty well, maintenance staff is great.

• concierges are hit or miss: they’ll leave for long periods of time, they won’t scan in your packages (which then notifies you something came in) or they’ll take 2 days to process your packages. A lot of them act like your bothering them, but they turnover a lot so it changes.

• I constantly flag concerns over safety/security, people will leave random doors propped open to the building and garage.

• Mgmt is basically non-responsive, we had issues with neighbors (leaving trash in the hall, bikes/scooters in hall, leaving their door open when they cooked, kids screaming/playing in the hall) and mgmt did nothing.

• overall it’s not terrible, we got/have a decent deal and a bigger 1 bd unit, but had we not gotten lucky now with better neighbors we would have left.

Been using starry for 3+ years. I was using their $50 plan which on special went down to $25 over the summer. The lag got so bad recently that I had to upgrade to their $65 plan, no issues so far and no speed issues.

This is a generalization, but having worked with many of the top firms (MBB and more) - over the last 15+ years as a client, it’s mostly bullshit.

Insane amount of billable hours that solve literally nothing. They’re great at creating work that nobody asked for and convincing upper management it was necessary.

It had nothing to do with transportation/congestion it was the idiot cops that decided it made sense to stop both lanes of traffic because people were trying to pull into the garage.

Right lane turns into the garage, left lane we are all going straight, why stop both.

Depends on your definition of affordable. There are a number of hotels right near the Garden. A 20 min walk away in Cambridge is a Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn and Holiday Inn all next to each other.

  1. Don’t admit to looking at google maps, driving above the speed limit etc, never admit or say anything just exchange info.

  2. Never heard of a fire dept having anything to do with a car assessment. Your insurance will compare cost of repair vs. value of car and determine if it’s “totaled”

  3. Probably delete this post where you admit to being a distracted driver that was speeding and is likely at fault for damage to both cars in front if you hit car 2 sending it into car 1.

As someone that worked at cvs and other retail stores 15-20 yrs ago, even back then, we’d call the cops after stopping shoplifters, they’d show up 5-6 hours after the call. You’d just sit there awkwardly waiting for a bit until you just let them go.

Not worth the hassle and head office didn’t want employees getting involved.

Interesting they didn’t let you board, not sure if things have changed, but I had a similar situation traveling from US abroad. They told me they’d absolutely let me fly out, but it’s up to the receiving country to decide to let you in or make you leave immediately, no guarantees, had to cancel my trip.

Someone telling you that you can’t sit on an open couch because they’re saving it for their friends, while also having their husband lay jackets on other open chairs, is an overly privileged white Karen to me.
