I’d say New Hampshire is better any day. Small businesses that actually appreciate you spending money with them, small businesses that don’t overcharge for cheap meals( $32 for 2 chicken thighs and mixed root vegetables make my blood boil in vermont) , more salt on the road /plow services when it snows ,more basic creature comforts aside from being close to boston and taxation and better chain selections and hours,etc. oh and my favorite about New Hampshire: tradesmen ( plumbers, electricians, etc) that actually want to work and show up on time and on the day they say they will show up!

Solar with mini splits is what I use and I have propane for backup just in case . I might use 50 gallons of propane a year worst case.

Like everyone is so environmentally conscious here allegedly but would rather cut down tree and burn wood than to use a more environmentally friendly source of heat…

If more Vermonters treated people the way they want to be treated we wouldn’t be having this conversation now would we?… and this tip /meal topic is deeper than what we are both saying in these comments . For example: if you advertise that you pay your servers $25+/hr and charging me $35 for a 30cent piece of chicken and 70 cents of veggies you should be taking care of your employees and the business and yourself.
