This is spot on. I was born near Rutland. Grew up there. 1st generation college grad attending St Mike's in Colchester. Moved to Santa Cruz, CA. on a trek across America as a googly eyed 20 something. Came back to Vermont. Joined the service & traveled the world. Once I got out after 20 years, I settled and worked in Chittenden County since job was there. I liked it as a college kid but it had drastically changed. Started going to NEK in 2000. Sold my house in S. Burlington 5 years ago to move here permanently. Love it here. Involved with my community. All the nature and uncrowded recreation. Close to Northern NH & Western Maine and Quebec. The best quality of life for me too.

I went to St. Mike's. Graduated a long time ago. Went back and coached there. I found it very accepting and LBGT+ friendly. I'm a non-practicing catholic. It was my truly some of the best years of my life and made life-long friendships even with the faculty and staff. Good luck to you.

Nulhegan Pond in East Brighton has a new access along Rt 105 and no motors. I kayak Spectacle Pond, Bald Hill Pond, Long Pond, Job Pond & Center Pond quite a bit too and though they allow motors, I hardly ever see anyone with motors. All those ponds are very close to one another. All fishing boats go fish Echo, Willoughby, Seymour. This is in NEK. Westmore, Newark, Brighton.

Uncle Tony's aka David Manolfi. The Manolfi family have been making pizza and bread in Rutland over 120 years. I lived across the street and worked for him at School St Bakery. He then had Avellinos. Now is Uncle T

Exactly. I worked with Wayne (62 yr old victim) many years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman and good man who died doing exactly what he loved. He was a father, husband, brother to those who loved. A hard worker. Everyone is so fuckn perfect and never makes a mistake. Some get away with it, and some don't. I hope no one who is joking never loses someone because of a mistake. I agree with you. NOT a joking matter.

Old Stone Museum Brownington is pretty awesome. I grew up near Proctor and the Vermont Mable Company now owned by OMYA. Proctor has impressive marble buildings and a neat bridge This is Old Stone Museum. Visit the Amish bakeries if you go.

Both my sister and I have older camrys. Hers is a 2004 with studded tires. She traveled every day from Middlebury to Rutland Hospital with no issues. Mine is a little newer as a 2013. I live in the NEK now in Island Pond. I have Bridgestone Blizzaks. I have absolutely no issues up here. Obviously I'm smart about it but it goes up my friends steep driveway and we have plenty of dirt roads. Plus most cars have low gear that helps slow you down without jamming on brakes. For gosh sakes I delivered for Domino's off Williston Rd in the 80s with a VW Rabbit. You'll be fine if you are careful. If anyone is looking for a sweet Civic, Brighton Garage has one with a set of new snows. Craig is super honest.
