Most local news is garbage (not just in Philly but in most places, especially large markets) and has two purposes; one, to promote syndication and corporate synergy with their parent companies, and two, to spam stories of violent crime in the hood to scare white people in the burbs.

Some subs have extremely ridiculous convoluted rules about what can and can't be posted. So I said that just in case.

I think that's saying if you only have money in the Mastercard and not the Travel Wallet you can only use the Mastercard for Septa, isn't it? That's what I'm getting from that, anyway. As much as I don't want that to be true.

It was basically my grocery/hygiene products money until my foodstamps reload, so this is very less than ideal. Also I tried Septas customer service number before I made this post but it's automated and said to call back during business hours, then auto-hangs up on you. So yeah, just a not great sitch all around.

For real, thanks for the information though. At least I can temper my hope now.

I was trying to think of somewhere to get something quick to eat near Center City recently and the Wendys and Popeyes at 16th and Chestnut are all I could come up with. The Chic-Fil-A in Liberty Place closed too. Burger King 8th and Market closed. Wawa closed. Very few places to get a slice of pizza or something like that

As of a few hours ago she's still wandering around. I saw her outside of Dunkin tonight screaming at everybody that walked by.

I can tell you who this most likely is. There's a woman who clearly has been in the midst of a psychiatric episode the past few weeks who stomps around Center City screaming at people at the top of her lungs. You can hear her from multiple blocks away. She also flips over every single one of those metal boxes that they used to put newspapers in. She also will walk down the street violently pulling on all the doors she encounters, locked or not.

I'm like 98% sure this was her.

I love how everybody always claims that they would be the hero, if only they were there.

I take the El almost every single day. I've seen this exact situation many, many, many times. I've seen the panhandlers get too aggressive and pissed off at being told no. I've seen the 25-people-deep groups of school kids fucking with innocent people for no reason. Psychotic episodes, thefts, you name it.

Never, not once, have I ever seen one of these apparently abundant "heroes" step up and save the day. So where y'all at? It couldn't just be bluster, could it?
