One of my favorite buildings to see when I'm walking down Liberty Street after work, love the way the sunset reflects off of it... Namely for the synthwave vibes it gives off as the building's different angles capture the light differently.
Makes me annoyed that my smartphone can't ever capture what I'm seeing.
At the moment my experience with this is JSQ exclusive so far, first time it happened was sometime in November, haven't had issues at WTC. At least there I've had bad read spams before I try the next turnstile over and get in.
Might be failing sensors in the turnstile that trigger too early.
I feel like there's barely enough casual bike culture in JC for any bike lanes to show results. People need to get themselves bikes first too, against pressure from a car-centric environment (and having little experience biking in the first place). I don't know if Citi Bikes do much for that.
Biking on the road feels unsafe (sharrows and signage don't really help), and consistently seeing bikers on the sidewalk reinforces the idea that "oh it's fine to bike on the sidewalk"... Despite me consistently experiencing a lot of them coming from behind without warning.
