Ugh shut up with this “New Hampshire is full” “go back where you come from” nonsense. Over half the state population is from out of state. How is this one specific person inconveniencing you?

Second the idea of applying somewhere like BAE or another company in Manchester or Nashua. Then living in one of the surrounding towns - Amherst, Hollis, Merrimack, etc. or further north if you end up working in Manchester. Land will be a bit cheaper and easier to get more of. The mountains are close. Nature is easy to access from Nashua and Manchester.

Concord will have lots of access to walking trails and nature. I just moved to Nashua and am blown away by all the nature and hiking trails within my county. You might have to drive a bit to get to good doctors, I’m honestly not sure. I do know that there are 2 really good hospitals in Nashua, and probably some good ones in Manchester too. I have several rare conditions, and so far I’ve found doctors in Nashua, Lowell, Mass, and Dover. People talk about how bad the food options are in NH, but honestly I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I’m a pescatarian, and plenty of places have vegetarian or vegan stuff, especially in Manchester. I don’t know about gluten free, and I don’t know about Concord, but my guess is you can at least find SOMETHING. There will be people to date/places to go out/a nightlife scene in Manchester. Concord is lovely but more sleepy. But they’re so close together. People will try to tell you that Manchester is sketchy, but that is only if you’ve never been to a city before. It’s not any different from any other small city. And btw, I don’t know Dover, but Portsmouth is beautiful, and Concord is a great little city. Sorry I wrote so much!

People are really friendly in Nashua. I’m a tiny bit older than you, have lived here a couple months, and have already made some friends. I love the nashua area. Manchester is NOT BAD if you aren’t a sheltered New Englander. Still, Nashua and Portsmouth are nicer.

I’m living in NH and originally from Richmond, VA. I don’t have anything to say on Bethlehem, but I can say that Charlottesville is an amazing city. Fairly small town feel, but still lots to do. Great access to the outdoors. Great access to jobs. Great access to healthcare. Great shopping, great dining. Good weather. I love that city!

Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson is very triggering for people with eating disorders. People have used it as a step-by-step on what to eat to lose weight. The author has stated that she wishes she never wrote it, if she knew it was going to be used in this way. Just a friendly FYI.
