Perhaps it’s just a matter of perspective then. Again, I think the traffic is fine, you can still get from one end of Springfield to another in 20 minutes or less. If you consider that bad, then I’d be interested to hear what you think is good.

Only thing I disagree with is the traffic. I’ve lived in several places and the traffic and roads here are heaven compared to a lot of cities.

They’re are different types of homeless. Unfortunately, some are prone to causing massive damage to rooms or stealing.

Considering you’re response to someone claiming cost of living here is affordable, inferences can be made.

But you don’t actually seem like you want to contribute to any discussion, so you do you.

Comments like this just screams that you either never lived anywhere else or compare prices from 10+ years ago to what they are today.

There are a lot worse places to live. Springfield isn’t super amazing, but it’s not as bad as some people make it out to be. Yes, the crime and drugs on the north side are appalling but any decent sized city (and even those much smaller) will have that.

Springfield is easy to navigate, has a good number of businesses, and is close to rivers and other attractions (Branson, Tablerock Lake, SDC, etc), with a low cost of living.

I’ve lived in big cities where just driving anywhere took 40+ minutes and I’ve lived in small towns where there was nothing to do but work and/or party and even wanting something as simple as fast food was a 30 minute drive away.

I like Springfield. Will I stay here for the rest of my life? Highly unlikely, but I’m not in a hurry to leave either.
