I was driving back from Franklin Mills to Fishtown on 95 tonight around 8. Right around Cottman all the way to Aramingo it was backed up going 5-10 mph if that, added +30 minutes to the drive home since it went from 3 lanes to 1 due to bridge work. 😭

Two years ago it was Kiki Bar (a friend works for Kiki Vodka and she used/ran the space), then someone took over it and called it Tiki Bar last summer. Lol.

1800 sqft, new construction build last year. Was like $20 in summer (gas cooking) but the last few months it was around 110-120/mo, keeping the house around 67-69 most of the time.
Also I only share a wall with one neighbor, fwiw.

I live right around the border of Fishtown/Kensington and it's great to see businesses coming up this way. Hoping all the new construction happening around Front St between Girard & York-Dauphin continues to bring more restauraunts and places to shop up this way.

I paid college hunks moving junk to move to Philly from Collegeville and it was ~600 but it was 1 BR + odds and ends from my parent's basement, already all in boxes and most of it ready to go in the garage. So if you got quoted 1k that sounds reasonable.

I feel like some of their stuff costs more than going down to Acme but I also only get a few things from there. I like going to them them if in a pinch though since I'm right down the street.

Pretty much what the others said, stick to the established. I only had one person come to my door since I moved in in May, about (and I'm paraphrasing/trying to recall) "PECO doing something new and making sure it shows up on my bill" -- I said I'm not sure but I'd get a bill shut the door, never came back, and they left and never returned.
Basically if anyone comes to your door regarding utilities, don't answer it. I mean there's really no reason to answer your door unless you're expecting a package. Don't know if physical mail about this ever comes in, I've only gotten scam deed/home insurance things through USPS.
