I wouldn't call that a mistake... More like lying under oath and putting an innocent man behind bars.

Of course, the entire situation is fucked, and all points back to the corruption in the justice system. Coercing a rape victim to identify an innocent is super fucked. The real people that should be behind bars are the ones that practically forced her to do that.

Study finds model that replicates training data replicates training data, and more specifically repeated training data.

Is this a joke or something? This is also how the human brain works, is it not? We exaggerate the our biases all the time, and the way we fix it is "feeding" our brain more data (learning).

It honestly sounds like you don't want them to help. A big part of therapy is believing that therapy can work... If you have a negative feedback loop of believing that therapy never works, it's never going to work. A big part of this is actually understanding your reasoning for wanting to see a therapist.

As a developer, I couldn't care less that my github was scraped. I also don't care that github made copilot. It's a tool for us. I've been developing for years and copilot has made my life work flow significantly better. Ask the wide developer community, and you'll find very similar results. We just don't care that much that our work patterns may repeat in other code somewhere.

According to GitHub's own surveys:

  • 88% reported being more productive
  • >90% reported being faster at their job
  • 60-75% of users reported feeling more fulfilled and less frustrated
  • 73% reported it helped them "stay in the flow"
  • 87% reported it preserved mental effort from repetitive tasks

But if you really want to know, just go to some developer subreddit and ask...

Let's get this out of the way really quick. An app should not be for "specialized therapy," your phone app is not a replacement for a therapist. It's a good thing these apps don't offer fake therapy through them.

As for privacy concerns, yeah I agree there.
