I would explain it stating something like every 12th year 1884-2016. Those are individual years right? Not 12 year averages?

I would add x axis. I assume it goes jan-dec, but would like to confirm and it would be easier to pinpoint individual months.

This is an example of a really bad chart in my opinion. Is it death from police shootings… in 100 year period? On planet Mars? Per 100.000 population or total? If it’s the US does it reflect the fact that there are around 14% of blacks, but around 50% of women? What’s the source? I honestly would like to know. This chart tells me nothing as is.

Took me awhile to understand this. Even what the numbers mean. I’d flip the chart horizontally, to start with startups, and add a legend, or in the title, that the numbers indicate the number of projects. Or found a way to separate each project by color and not use numbers at all.

I understand you position. And I agree with it now.

I hear you. But let me ask you this. What would you do if your country was attacked? If your family and friends were killed? Would you stand aside? What I am asking is where is the line? Are there values you are willing stand behind? Any power can be used for good, bad, or something in between. And unfortunately weak military attracts aggressors. At the moment lives and freedoms of my people are spared thanks to power, technology, and resources of the western world, including most Ukraine’s neighbouring countries. And again, almost anything can be used for bad intentions. That means there is work for you to do in your own country to keep your government/military in check. The choice is yours.
