He gave the gun to another guy at one point and told him to put on the safety

Yes run to another car. There was no angry mob. According to the witness in the report everyone was frozen until the one guy acted. And then keep going down cars until next stop and try to escape. I’m not saying you would have a great chance but you’d have a definite shot

This link provides more information than I would expect actually. Anyways glad you sent it because look here at his number one thing on his record:

26 10-8-526: CTA - UNSAFE COND/CROSS BETWEEN CARS (98-126-1.6A)

This guy loves going between cars, they must not lock them.

I don’t see the distribution charge but maybe I didn’t comprehend the charge right. I just see a possession. Armed robbery with a gun on a train, I guess he isn’t the sharpest tool, but that is clearly a step above anything else he was caught for. And I only see two assaults.

I was correcting myself. And my bad I didn’t click the link and look at the specific case, I thought your excerpt was from a previous one. You’re right he post bail 2 days later. The news report said he was held without bail. The judge must have reversed his decision or News just got it wrong.

Regardless it’s not bail reform because I’m sure he posted bond. Although that info doesn’t appear to be there

And please no politics, I don’t want to hear about bail reform, this guy is charged with a felony he won’t qualify. I’m more so curious if there’s something logistical I’m missing or if anyone has more info. Do they lock the doors between cars in Chicago? That would make a little more sense if they were between stops and there was no where to go.
