Reply to comment by WaitingForNormal in TIL Jonny Greenwood pretended to play keyboards for months when he joined Radiohead. He was told "I can’t quite hear what you’re doing, but I think you’re adding a really interesting texture" by btb331
To clarify, he’s not saying that he didn’t know how to play keyboards when he joined the band. He’s saying that the previous keyboardist was fired for being too intrusively loud, so he turned the volume of his keyboards all the way down and listened to the songs.
Then he went home and wrote tasteful, unobtrusive keyboard parts. Pretty smart, actually.

The Demon-Haunted World, yes. “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”

She lived in that tree. For two years. Really.
Got famous. Wrote a book about it. Worked as an activist. Burnt out on celebrity and now lives quietly.

Thanks for clarifying. You can’t post non-OC content on this sub, but you can contextualize the data in the text of your post.

The image you show is of the chains with the third most locations per state.
The chain with the most locations per state is Subway, in every single state except Delaware.

Yup. She had terrific range, but ended up typecast and trapped in a single role. The seventies were particularly virulent about that.
