I do agree there's a FU here though, you should have told the new girl you'd had a thing with her cousin in the past, and, taking new girl to old girls house was... an interesting choice.

I can imagine the in family gossip at this point...

If you think they're likely to catch you anyway, then it may be best to own up to it and apologise. It does seem to be a genuine error rather than intentional theft...

You may still be fucked, but, it may give you a chance to get away with a disciplinary instead of being fired.

Yes, this is great advice as both a driver and a pedestrian.

I never have an issue at zebra crossings as I am predictable, I make sure I've been seen, and I approach a crossing clearly. I've seen too many pedestrians walking along the path and go to cross without looking, or making it at all clear they're about to cross.
