I said it as a joke because I am an engineer but since we are going there, one’s pleasure is not the end all. There’s a reason certain jobs make more than other. With some exceptions of course, because the world isn’t perfect nor fair, money comes from providing utility to society— in other words providing happiness to society. Fortunately, I enjoy engineering and I get to help provide drinkable water to millions of people at the same time.

You learn a lot about people through engineering. And it’s extremely profitable, and you learned something that could change you outlook on life.
