I like Anker stuff. They also have really great customer service too.

These aren't 'buy it for life' because tech often never is. I mean, you blink and they'll have like USB Z and your stuff is obsolete. But Anker stuff is great. Sleek and sturdy

That said, these by Anker have a LIFETIME warranty on em so knock yourself out. Also covers all the cables you mentioned in 1 cable. "We're so confident about PowerLine II's long-lasting performance that we gave it a hassle-free, lifetime warranty."

I personally love these for Onebag travels. I have 2 of these. These cover for me for my laptops, my audio interface and my phone. I cut down on a bit of wires after using these.

Whoa, we're on different sides of the coin. I don't like Beyerdynamic headphones. They're comfortable, yes. Probably the most comfortable out there. But I'm not a fan of the sound. That said I only have experience with the DT770s and DT990s which were the ones recommended to me. I bought them and later donated them. I did find they were fine for studio monitoring though. I'd for sure classify Beyerdynamics as a durable headphone though.

For context the HD6xx were $199 pre-inflation and pre-COVID and imo that was a great deal for essentially the HD650s. I'll agree that lately the prices aren't as good as before.

I think we have different perception but imo the KPH30i lacked a lot of detail compared to the 6xx.

I have the KPH30i and even made a favorable review about them. Have the Sundaras too :P But they're nowhere near the level of 6xx. (Referring to the KPH30is not the Sundaras) (Sundaras I'd say...sound better in many ways) But my discussion is about the KPH30is

For me, personally, the 6xx will always have a special place in my heart because I use it all the time. Really great sound and also essential for mixing and mastering audio (for me at least). But to rewind it back, basically the original post is talking about how a pair of headphones (sub 30 dollars) are nuclear proof in a BIFL thread. But imo that means nothing if the audio quality isn't good and they aren't. Honestly if he mentioned KPH30is..or KC75s...I wouldn't have disagreed - because they actually do sound fantastic for the money and are technically lifetime warranty. :P But the ones that were chosen, ie Bluedios in the title post aren't good.

There's a lot discussed here imo:

Many of these have easily replaceable parts and components.

But my answer outside of that thread would be Victorionox knives. The components that are sturdy won't break. But you can replace just about everything here - and the stuff that isn't listed won't break:

I really like the Beckham Hotel Collection Bed Pillows. Comes in a set of 2. They replaced my Ikea Hylle which I really liked. I think because everyone's preferences, head and body are so different you aren't going to find one that everyone will agree on.

These aren't BIFL but I don't think the best sounding headphones are going to be BIFL. ie the Bluedio might last 10 years but doesn't have good sound.

If you don't mind about BIFL, I'd check out the Bellroy Transit 28L in black. Also the Aer 2, Minaal Carry-On 3.0 Bag,

I think honestly with these types of bags they don't last as long as anything listed in BIFL. The ones that 'are' BIFL will look more rugged and made of hard materials, ie Goruck.
