You know more than I do. I knew of a single grenade brought into school, but only to show his mates.

Are they missing some students?

There's plenty of guns across Europe. What we don't have is uncontrolled guns and school shootings.

I'm on my second Osprey daysack. I only replaced the first as I couldn't replace the buckles I stood on and broke. They are amazing.

If you can get hold of pigs cheeks and you've got a reasonably low- humidity fridge, it's not that difficult to make. We've all got to die of something, so why not die of something that's delicious?

That's some great work. I can't get guanciale where I live so I ended up having to make it myself. I didn't expect it to be so much better than belly pork.

Looks delicious. Is that guanciale?

I'm no expert but as I understand it the effect would be that the gravity would have a stronger pull in a local area, but would have no affect beyond the original footprint of the former star. Planetary orbits wouldn't change unless the black hole sucks in additional mass.

There isn't "more" gravity. Because the mass of the dead star is so dense the gravity has a stronger localised force.

Absolutely. Europe isn't perfect and has many of its own problems and has done so for hundreds of years. However, we're currently going through our greatest period of peace, and I would feel relatively safe anywhere (not counting western Ukraine or Russia). This is partly down to strict gun controls and single digit mass shootings per decade.
