Reply to Legend of Vox Machina - Worth the watch? by SerGiggles
It was my favorite show of the year, and I had no clue this was derived from a twitch DnD campaign until later. I think watching it without the expectations made it a better experience for me. (expectations are the thieves of joy)

Living in Texas suburbs, I believe it. They are selling 2,000 sq ft homes, with basically no yards, for 700k. All 20-30 miles out of downtown major cities.

This topic was the premier episode of The Weekly on Hulu and FX: “The Education of T.M. Landry” back in 2019. Some kids adjusted to college, many did not, but all were sold a bag of goods.

Reply to US puts Italy-sized chunk of Gulf of Mexico up for auction for oil drilling by capcaunul
He who doesn’t use petroleum products or gasoline, cast the first stone. . . If the market wasn’t requiring more oil we wouldn’t make it.
Worldwide, we recently tried banning/limiting oil and gas production then paid through the roof because we didn’t stop using it.
