I am aware of those you posted above. Did research prior to buying those Apple adapters.
However, explain to me why 13 PM get very warm with the 20W Apple wall wart?
With the 5W brick, this 13 PM is cool to the touch. Both times were inside a case.

Well, I'm after preserving Battery Capacity (99% currently) for the time being. Though I have (2) 20W USBC adapters, a MagSafe puck, an NOS 5W (at work) plus several USBC cables (all OEM Apple) at my disposal..Slow charging is best for prolonging Li-ion batt life/less stress to battery (when in no hurry or for overnight charging).

Your post just reminded me to unplug charge my 13 PM (on slow 1.5A rate via an $10 Energizer dual pad Qi USB port). I always aim for 80%..

Yes, I totally agree. I am floored with the outstanding battery life of our 13 PM.

I’m running on a Mint Sim as well, just like OP. Nearly pulled the trigger for a 14 PM last Oct.
Coming from an 8 Plus PR (I still have it, my back up; a keeper). Am still a firm believer of a physical SIM. That is why I prefer (after weighing the Pros vs Cons between the two) and went for a mint year old 13 PM instead (vs a new 14 PM). The 13 PM is just perfect for my yearly international travels.
With both physical SIM and eSIM abilities, the 13 PM is more versatile than the sole eSIM 14 PM. Removing the physical SIM from the 14 PM was a cost cutting measure for the US market (many fail to realize). Apple didn’t raise prices for the iPhone in the US as they claim..but of course, there’s gotta be a “trade off” somewhere (removing the physical SIM feature)..

Is Airalo eSIM available in Amazon US? I wanted to try a travel eSIM on my next EU visit.
I keep using the French Orange Holiday SIM from Amazon every time I fly over to Europe almost yearly from LAX since 2016. It works flawlessly thru the years from UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and most recently as last month, Slovakia & Hungary. Since 2018 on my venerable OG 8 Plus. 👌

It charges up to 15W. I use a 30W PD 3.0 PPS GaN USB-C charger from Amazon. At times, I use this charger, with an OEM Apple MQGJ2AMA Lightning cable ($3 refurbished, I have 3). My Apple MHXH3AM/A is also an open box/refurbished. Both looks and works like brand new.

I used an open box Mag Safe, with an Ultranet 30W adapter on my 13 PM. Oddly enough, you can barely feel any warmth at all, and this is with a cheap $8 case from Amazon.

Idk, it is always very warm with the 20W. Always. Worse if I use the wireless MagSafe puck.
