I personally am not a fan of victim's rights.

I get that the victim feels entitled to some form of justice, but ultimately they aren't the ones trying the case, the state is. And even in a case where the victim has no rights, it isn't like they'd have no voice. In sentencing, judges allow impact statements almost entirely from the victims of the crime. The judge can use those impact statements to inform the sentence.

I just wouldn't want to be in a situation like we're in, where one person's innocence or guilt is hinging on how the victim's family feels about it and not necessarily about whether the evidence was sufficient to convict.

So where does this water go when the next city it is destined to decides to not be worse than Baltimore and deny it treatment.

Someone has to treat this water eventually. If not us, then who? You think people in other city's lives don't matter? That Baltimore water needs to be kept sacred, but other city water can be polluted just fine?

This is going to become a MOBRO 4000 but even dumber because we have the facilities to process this barely polluted water and just decided to refuse because people hear "East Palestine Water" and panic.

I would normally say that contract violations are a pita to litigate and not worth the trouble, but this is the difference between spending 15k as negotiated, and 31k. That's well above small claims level of money.

I'm pretty sure theaters are required to have CC for all screenings if requested to comply with the ADA. Maybe not all theaters, but if they have this service then they have it all the time, not just for the listed time.

I'm glad they have one that's explicitly CC, but if you request it, they are required to give it to you. Only caveat being that they only need to carry at most 16 CC devices, so if everyone requests CC and doesn't need it, then you are taking away that device from someone who potentially does.

This is more likely why they have the specifically CC'd screening, so that they don't have to run into issues of running out of CC devices while still offering CC to those that need it.

Idk if you can really ever correlate house listings to housing supply.

Like if I make my own chocolate bars, and leave out 10 on a shelf in a grocery store, and next to that are 10 Hershey candy bars, we are both selling 10 in that moment, but the amount of candy bars supplied by Hershey is far more than me.

The amount of towns in the world with expansive light rail and/or metro systems with a population under 600,000 is quite high. We have plenty of people to warrant a light rail mass transit system. It's really a matter of if there is the political will to make it happen.
